Some of the main factors that have contributed an impact over the last 5,000 years would have to be events such as fatal diseases and revolutions. These events have either declined or have boomed the population over the years. Fatal diseases such as the black plague wiped out about one fourth of the population in Europe; it had a huge decrease after being struck by the plague. Anything that came across the path of the black plague was wiped out completely. So this event definitely decreased the population. But the population soon began to grow again due to the American Revolution. The American Revolution had a great impact on the population because at the time there were inventions being made that would increase and improve the production of agriculture. The Industrial Revolution also increased the population improving life by advancements in transportation, communication, and medicine. Machines were also developed which helped provide jobs for the people and make life a little easier. Population as you can see will continue to constantly change as we face new events in the future.

Respond to question one:

Revolutions are one of the main factors that have impacted population. During this period farming and industry were on the rise. Certain disease had wiped out main people; also the war at this time had played a main role. With industries on the rise machines were help to distribute food faster then ever before.

The biggest challenge that the Earth is facing right now is coming up with enough food and space for every human on the planet. Right now things aren’t so bad, but in a couple decades we might not have enough of either. Because of the population growth, we have even more farming going on and fertile land is not going to last forever. If the population keeps growing at this rate it won’t be long before people start struggling simply to survive.

Disease, wars, and immigration have either helped boom the population or helped it decrease. Usually wars declined the population because many soldiers go out to fight but when it’s over many are happy to come home and decide to settle down and have a family. That was the case at the end of WWII when soldiers came back from the war and started having children; children born during this time were called baby boomers. Immigration has also help increase the population at least in some countries because many people leave their native countries in pursuit for happiness. Disease has also played a major part in population because the ones that are not strong enough to fight the disease end up being dead but those that do pass on the genes that will make future generations immune to the disease. Here are the three main factors that have impacted the population for over 5000 years and still will impact the population for years to come.

Responding to first question...

The population has decreased as well as increased over the last 5,000 years. Shortage of food would starve people to death, but now that isn’t as big a problem. Food is distributed everywhere nowadays. Back then diseases would wipe out thousands of people. Diseases that humans didn’t have immunities for would kill them off really quick. With the advances in technology medicine began to help the population grow.

What factors have impacted the population of the earth over the last 5000 yrs?

Diseases, revolutions and immigration are the factors that have impacted the population of the earth over the last 5000 years. Because of wars and diseases, the world has to come up with enough food and space for people.

Immigration has helped increase the population in many countries, for example, United States. United States is now the number one country with the largest number of immigration.

1. Some main factors that have affected the earth in the last 5000 years are the epidemic diseases, immigration, and revolution. Diseases have played a big part with the population because, a lot of people die from it, but those who survived can pass on genes to other generations that can fight those diseases, and the world's population was deacreasing. But immigration also played a big part in population because the population started increasing, but because of the revolution there was more space for people.

Population has many challenges I our society today. Agricultural population is one that started in Great Britain. Another is an industrial revolution that began concluding population is infected by events epidemic disease. Our world is also facing population problems because of the birth rate. The age structure involves the survivorship and morality. On various graphs and data it shows the rate at which population increases. Some solutions include cutting back on the immigrants legal and illegal! Also think about possibly setting a limit to how many people can be in one giving place at one time. Which means have a limit to how many people that can be in each state.

The world is facing major challenges such as the economy shift, immigration, war, and diseases. It is a crucial time especially with money. Many people do not have enough money to support their families to buy food because of the high costly item such as just a simple loaf of bread. The world is undergoing changes that are hard to fix.
Solutions to the economy is to just live with this, there isn’t much we can do to change these factors but save money for things we desperately need. Diseases are coming from sexual transmissions, if we only use protection it can prevent those diseases. War is on us as a terror, we just have to race to win.

Over the range of time, there have been many factors that have impacted our population greatly. Some of these factors are: epidemic diseases, revolutions, and the discovery of new lands. Revolutions, such as the agricultural and the industrial, increased the population on their own with all that they had to offer the people at that period. Also, diseases like the black plague had an impact but this time decreasing the population with all the deaths it caused. Since people at this time were new to all of these new inventions and diseases they could attain, when all of these events happened, it really either greatly increased the population or took it way down.

There are a lot of factors that have contributed in the growing and decline of the population over the last 5,000 years. Some examples are, wars, immigration, and deseases. Disease has helped the population to decline in the last years. There have always been diseases in the world. Some of them are curable and others arent. This is why many people dies every year. Wars always bring with them a lot of death and immigration.People such as soldiers have to die in the battle field, and other people just emmigrate to other places, so that they can survive and dont be affected.

Martin Puente said...

Examples of the factors were wars, and diseases which were spreading aroun which killed lots of population. This impacted the population over the last 5000 years by fatal diseases like the black plague. And maybe in a couple of other decades we might even have worst things happening to our population in our earth.

Erika Cruz said...

One of the main factors that have contributed to the population impact is diseases. Over the last 5,000 years, many dieases have killed over millions of poeple. One disease would be the black pleague. Another one wuld be smallpox. Back in the old time, technology was not as advanced as it is now-a-days. Medicine was not advanced and many researches have not been done yet.

Within the past 5,000 years there have been two primary causes for the now common longevity and abundance of life on earth. The first of these two causes is the Industrial Revolution. Along with the revolution came the ability to feed everything, thus people no longer frequently died of starvation of lack of adequate shelter. This factor greatly contributed to the sudden burst of life on Earth. Vast advances in medical technology have also helped prolong life on earth. Longevity in life means that, unlike in previous times, the amount of deaths are not helping to even the balance of new life being born. Thus these two factors have caused the overall population of the earth to skyrocket.

Response to question one:
Many factors play a great role in the increase and decrease of the earth's population in the last 5000 years. Before the American Revolution, the earth's population was on the low side. From war and diseases, people were dieing and did not have the technology to fight it. An example would be infant morality because without the technology and research we have today, many babies would die young. Diseases was a big contributor and spread disaster wherever it stroke. When the American Revolution started, the population just took a major increase, because now with more technology, there was more ways to fight off diseases and to make more food to support families.

Jasmine Laws said...

In reponse to the second question:
There are many reasons to why population has increased and decreased over the years. One major reason as to why it has imcreased is the fact that more babies are produce more then twice over the years. Another reason to why is that immigration is talking toll on our society. There are many solutions but all of them take time. The government could put a law that says the human population has to consist of a certain amount of children reproduced, that to me wouldn't be a bright idea. I guess there aren't any solutions the way I see it, we all have to just deal with the rapid growth and what economy has to offer.

1. Many events have affected global population during the past few thousand years. Three major events have been epidemic disease, revolutions, and the discovery of new land. For a long time global population was constant but then Europe was struck by the plague, one of the world’s most dangerous disease. That time is known as the “Black Death”, population had a huge negative impact during the plague and had a great decrease in population.
However, in the 1700’s there were many discoveries and inventions that improved farming and made it more productive than ever, the Agricultural Revolution. The Agricultural Revolution had three major developments, improved crop growing methods, advancements in live-stock breeding, and new farm equipment. Following the Agricultural Revolution came the Industrial Revolution which like the Agricultural revolution helped increase the population. The Industrial Revolution raised living standards and had a mass production of many goods as a result of power driven machinery. With these two revolutions there was a positive impact on population recovering it from the dip it took with the plague.

Response to question #1:
The human population for the past 5,000 year has experienced different changes, but never those like we are seeing today. Throughout human history, advances in technology have occurred, such as the agricultural revolution, the Industrial Revolution and the medical revolution. Yet, epidemics and wars have also occurred. Ups and down have zigzagged in the human history, but the most recent years are the ones that are shocking.
In contrast to the constant levels of population, in the modern age, population has simply exploded. This is a complete challenge to our Earth and environment. Not only are we demanding more from our world but also contaminating it. That is why an over population to this planet can be very dangerous if we are not careful. Since we are facing an overpopulation problem we have to be conscious of our environment and all the other problems that were presented this Friday.

What population challenges are the United States and the world facing today? What are some possible solutions?

- The population challenge that we are facing today in the U.S. and the world is that were not getting any smaller, were growing in vast numbers, per/ year. Occupying larger countries, for better opportunities, better lifestyle for instance the U.S.
We have alot of problems dealing with immigration, crossing our borders without documentation in order to be able to work for that American dream. Their is a large immigration rate especially in texas and California, due to that they lie on the border between Mexico and the U.S.

You have to have documentation in order to enter the states, well in any country for that matter, a visa of some sort, or a working pass, education pass ,etc,

Solutions such as being more leanient with immigration laws so that we may approve residency and citizenshiip to people wishing to reside within the U.S. or other countrie. Stop having kids would be another way but i doubt people can do that. I would say to simply just go with the flow, but stop having these people, that are hacing like six to eight kids, at a time. but on a serious note, i think it inevitable that we try and control our population ratio, i mean if we want to do what china a long time ago, but i think that would be a little too unhumane, i can only say that were getting larger. maybe we will have inhabited another world by then and we can have more room to grow.

What population challenges are the United States and the world facing today? What are some possible solutions?

The United States and the world today face one major problem, the worlds population is getting bigger and the food supply is getting smaller. The large population and cramped living spaces in some countries is contributing to the spread of disease.Unprotected sex is also leading to population growth and the spreading of deadly STD's such as the Aids virus.
Now there are some things we could do, we could try making an artificial equivalent to certain foods, like a pill that contained all the necessary nutrition in a healthy meal. Another direction would be the promotion of safer sex, and birth control or even as far as limiting the number of children you can have, like in China. Now there is other ways but some might consider it inhumane, very ihumane such as letting things run their course with the AIDS virus, this would wipe out a considerable number, there are others which I wont discuss and I dont advocate this its just the dark side of population control, it should just be left to nature to decide. Maybe she can make the decision we cannot make for ourselves and the survival of our species.

Question #1

In the past 5000 years, there are many things that have an impact on the population of the world in a positive and negative way. One of the events that happen that contribute to the population are revolutions. Due to these revolutions, many things were invented that helped people in everyday life. For example, scientist begins to come up with more effective way to give birth so that there’s not that many baby fatalities. Not only that, wars also played a big role too. Yes, many people were killed but when the soldiers came back from the war, there was a big boom in the population.

With all these things contributing to the population, there are some that decreases the population too. One example is diseases and wars. Diseases for one were a big problem because there wasn’t that many cures for diseases back then. In result, the bodies react to these unknown viruses and people die, the Black Plague, for example.

Over the last five thousand years, the human population and their needs have increased by the millions.

It all started when the agricultural revolution and the industrial revolution occured in Europe. Because of the many innovations introduced, the human life cycle increased dramatically. During these time periods humans introduced new ways to make life easier, and last longer. Such inovations during the industrial revolution were, the introduction of machinery that would makes job easier and the ability to provide resouces to one's family became more realistic. With these changes, the birth rate increased and the death rate increased for the majority of the population.

Some of the main factors that have contributed an impact over the last 5,000 years have been events like diseases, immigration, wars, and increases in agriculture technology.
Diseases have been around for a very long time. Back in the olden days, there were no cures for diseases so they managed to kill millions of people.
Immigration has also impacted Earth's population. This is because whenever people migrate to different places, they tend to multipy in numbers causing an increase in population.
Another event that has impacted Earth's population is war. War has been devasting to population due to the amount of people that are killed while serving.
Finally, another event that has impacted population is increases in agricultural technology. With inventions such as the plow, the agricultural industry sky-rocketed. They had an increase in amount of food, which meant more people could be fed, causing an increase in population.

I think the change in population over the last 5,000 years has increased and decreased due to food shortage and dieases also the great depression could have caused a decrease in population, but also an increase could have been by immigration and just the over all people having childrean.

One problem the U.S. is facing today is the economy crisis. Our money in the world is running out and people and companies are starting to become broke. soon that will lead to families without a home and people without jobs because they are not making any more money.
Another thing this earth is facing is coming up with enough space and food to feed everyone in this planet. Now a days young girls are starting to have babies evryday of the year and this is a major problem because now the population is increasing and we are running out of space. So those were problems we are facing.

CARLOS RUIZ- I COULDNT POST BECAUSE I WASNT PART OF THE TEAM.
Some of the main factors that have impacted Earth's population are diseases, wars, amd immigration.
In the old days, manyb diseases arose among society, and without a cure, these diseases were dramatically fatal.
Also, wars affected the population because of the amount of fatalities. Millions os men and women faced death due to wars.
Finally, another factor has been immigration. When people migrate to different places, they reproduce causing the population to increase.

Over the last 5,000 years, several factors have impacted the population. One factor that caused population to increase was the discovery of new land. With more land being able to hold more people, more births occured. There was more space for people to move around, so families began to get bigger. Another factor that caused population to increase was the industrial revolution.

The industrial revolution caused new inventions to be made. New inventions that caused higher productions of food were created and more food production meant bigger families. A factor that caused population to decrease was disease. When there was no way to fight off disease, it would kill people, causing population to go down. So the discovery of new land, revolutions and disease were all factors that have impacted population.

The number of people is continue to increase everyday, and we can't create more space or make more land. We might have to face many challenges like: the limited supplies of foods, space, oil and etc. But we can help to save ourselves from this situation by control the population and some how to be able to make more supplies that we need.

Population has sky rocketed over the last 5,000 years. The population growth has increased dramatically and it is because of several factors. One factor of population growth is immigration. As more people immigrate to a country, that countries population increases. Countries that deal with such an overwhelming number of immigrants have seen a tremendous growth in their population, for example, the United States.
Another factor of population is the discovery of new territories. As more new land is found people can move and develop these places. Their families are able to grow and the increase in population occurs.

The population over the last 5,000 years has dramatically changed. One of the factors of this change was the industrial revolution. With this revolution, the ability to do labor work such as farming became much more easier to people. With all the farming, there was an abundance of food, which feed a lot of more people helping them survive. Another factor was immigration. People coming from other countries, increasing a nations population. But population doesn’t always increase. Thanks to wars and diseases, many nations have lost a great number in their population.

What factors have impacted the population of the earth over the last 5000 yrs?

Some factors have impacted the population over the 5000 yrs. Some of this factors are diseases which have reduced the population. In the 1900s we have seen a tremendous increade in the population due to the industrial population. We are also expecting for the popualtion to continue growing and not stop till it reaches its limits where Earth can no longer maintain the population.
